A MUSICAL VISIONARY

Pioneering and award-winning jazz vibraphonist, bandleader, composer, arranger Mike Mainieri’s career is remarkable. For over seven decades Mike recorded, performed and collaborated with some of the world’s most iconic musical artists including Buddy Rich, Billie Holiday, Dizzy Gillespie, Wes Montgomery, Frank Zappa, Richie Havens, Jimi Hendrix, Michael Brecker, Paul Simon and Carly Simon. Mike was on the forefront of the fusion and contemporary jazz movements and contributed to over 100 gold and platinum albums which secured his own legendary status in the music. In addition, Mike brought to bear his vast experience with the creation of the label NYC Records. Today, Mike continues to compose, arrange, produce, record, and perform all over the globe.
